Delete your WildMap account

Deleting your WildMap account is permanent and irreversible. Your account and all cloud-synced data — including waypoints, tracks, harvest logs, field notes, saved areas, trips, and planned routes — will be permanently removed.

Delete from inside the app

The quickest way to delete your account is directly from the WildMap app:

  1. Open WildMap.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Hold the red Delete Account button until the action confirms.
  5. Confirm the deletion:
    • Email/password accounts: re-enter your current password when prompted.
    • Google or Apple accounts: type the word DELETE when prompted.

Deletion is immediate. You will be signed out and returned to the sign-in screen. This action cannot be undone.

Can't open the app?

If you can no longer access the app, email us from the email address associated with your WildMap account:

Include "Account deletion request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity and action the deletion. We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days.

Subscriptions

Important: An active App Store or Google Play subscription is billed directly by Apple or Google and must be cancelled separately through the respective store. Deleting your WildMap account does not cancel, pause, or refund any active store subscription. You will continue to be billed until you cancel in the store yourself.

What we keep

After deletion, a minimal de-identified billing record is retained for approximately 7 years as required under Australian tax law. This record does not contain your name, email address, or any personally identifying information. Residual copies in automated backups age out on the normal backup rotation (approximately 7 days).
