Delete Your Account

This cannot be undone. Once deletion completes, your data cannot be recovered. If you only want to stop being billed, cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play instead. See below.

Delete from inside the app

The quickest way to delete your account is directly from the WildMap app.

Open WildMap.

Go to Settings.

Tap Account.

Tap the red Delete Account button to open the confirmation panel.

In the confirmation panel, type DELETE to confirm.

Press and hold Hold to Delete Account until the action completes.

Deletion is immediate. You will be signed out and returned to the sign-in screen. This action cannot be undone.

Can't open the app?

If you can no longer access the app, email us from the email address associated with your WildMap account:

We will verify your identity and action the deletion. We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. An active App Store or Google Play subscription is billed directly by Apple or Google and must be cancelled separately through the respective store. Deleting your WildMap account does not cancel, pause, or refund any active store subscription; you will continue to be billed until you cancel in the store yourself.

To cancel a subscription:

iOS / App Store Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → WildMap → Cancel.

Android / Google Play Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → WildMap → Cancel.

What we keep

After deletion, a minimal de-identified billing record is retained for at least 5 years, as required under Australian tax law. This record does not contain your name, email address, or any personally identifying information. Residual copies in automated backups age out on the normal backup rotation (approximately 7 days).
